چکیده

Distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) lasers are widely used in many physics experiments. However, regarding the power and frequency control of DBR lasers, obtaining complete accurate output characteristics is challenging due to need for general quantitative models. In this study, we propose validate a method based on Gaussian process regression quickly accurately establish laser wavelength model. Two models developed describe power, wavelength, input current, temperature. The findings show that our model explains laser’s change from current threshold maximum value more precisely, with root mean square error (RMSE) 0.16921 mW, less than one-fifth classic Moreover, feasible describing RMSE 4 × 10−4 nm. This study can improve efficiency precision.

Asymmetric Twin-Waveguide 1.55- m Wavelength Laser with a Distributed Bragg Reflector

We demonstrate a single frequency, 1.55 m wavelength laser based on an asymmetric twin-waveguide structure using a single growth step and a simple fabrication process. The external Bragg grating is formed on the passive ridge waveguide, optically coupled to the twin-guide gain section using a low loss, tapered mode transformer. The grating is produced by near-field holographic printing using a ...

Melt-processed all-polymer distributed Bragg reflector laser.

We have assembled and studied melt-processed all-polymer lasers comprising distributed Bragg reflectors that were fabricated in large sheets using a co-extrusion process and define the cavities for dye-doped compression-molded polymer gain core sheets. Distributed Bragg reflector (DBR) resonators consisting of 128 alternating poly(styrene) (PS) and poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) layers were p...

Ultra-short distributed Bragg reflector fiber laser for sensing applications.

We present an ultra-short distributed Bragg reflector fiber laser written in Er/Yb co-doped fiber. The entire laser is only 8.4 mm in length. The lasing threshold is less than 1 mW. The optical signal-to-noise ratio of the laser output is better than 70 dB. The laser emits two orthogonal polarization modes and generates a beat signal with signal-to-noise ratio of approximately 70 dB and 3-dB li...

Distributed feedback-distributed Bragg reflector coupled cavity laser with a Ti:(Fe:)Er:LiNbO3 waveguide.

A thermally fixed photorefractive Bragg grating is written in a single-mode Ti:Fe:Er:LiNbO3 channel waveguide and used to develop a distributed feedback-distributed Bragg reflector coupled cavity laser with a second broadband dielectric cavity mirror. The optically pumped (lambda(p) = 1480 nm, P = 130 mW) laser emits in single-frequency operation as much as 8 mW at lambda = 1557.2 nm with a slo...
